President’s Message

Change is good as MACC joins the Harris family of companies

On October 1, 2022, MACC announced our acquisition by Harris ( I was first introduced to Harris in 2018 and observed the company over the years. What struck me from day one was their core philosophy matched that of MACC’s – a focus on customers, people, and products. When Harris acquires a company, they don’t go in and tear it apart; they believe the company loses the “magic” of what makes them successful. This was a really important factor in the decision to sell to Harris.

Yes, there will be changes along the way. But the core of what MACC was founded on remains the same and that has brought a distinct level of comfort as we move through this transition. As a result of Harris’ experience, we are able to work with them for best practices. We are able to take their knowledge of software development and apply it to MACC as we continue to develop our products and services. Our resources have broadened, and I am very excited to see the positive changes this will make for you, our customers, as we move forward.

We are business as usual in our daily support of your company. If you have a question or need assistance, we are here for you! As a reminder, here are the current hours of our support teams. All listed times are Central.

  • Customer Master – 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday with support available until 5:00 p.m. on Fridays
  • Accounting Master – 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with support available until 6:00 p.m. during the months of December and January
  • Technical Support – 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday with support available until 5:00 p.m. on Fridays

While the decision to sell was not taken lightly, we believe the true beneficiaries of this sale are you, our customers. We want to honor our long-standing business relationships by reassuring you our senior management is still in place – I am still here, as is Bob Sims, MACC’s EVP and COO. Our Directors are still leading the Billing Services, Information Services, and Client Services Teams. We are here for you, as we’ve been for the last 47 years – and we’ll be here for the next 47!
