477 Reporting – How to be prepared
By Cindy Webster, Customer Master Software Support Manager
Summer will be here soon and with it comes … 477 reporting. MACC’s Software Support Representatives have put together a few tips to help you reduce last minute data clean-up and Customer Master has tools which can also help.
477 USP Broadband/Telephone Update
Verify Internet and Telephone USP codes have the correct 477 reporting information populated. Also, run the USP Broadband and Telephone Info Report/Update process to ensure all customer records have the proper information.
Address Geocoding
Use the Address Geocoding tool to update any addresses which may be missing the Latitude/Longitude, Census Tract and/or Census Block information.
Missing Data
Run the FCC Form 477 Report option for missing data to locate a list of networks which are missing the necessary reporting data.
Latitude and Longitude are necessary in order for the Census Tract and Census Block to be retrieved from the www.FFIEC.gov website. There are cases where the geocoding interface is unable to locate the Latitude/Longitude. We have found the website www.latlong.net to be very helpful in manually locating this information. Once the Latitude and Longitude have been added to the address, you can re-run the Address Geocoding tool. Please contact MACC’s Customer Master Software Support Team if you need assistance.
