Featured Employee
Vishal Chennuru
When a new company converts to MACC, a virtual mountain of customer and billing data comes with it. Vishal Chennuru, December’s featured employee, is part of a MACC team which imports this data into our products’ databases. As a MACC Programmer, he writes SQL scripts to process and ensure the new data is converted and loaded successfully.
Q. When did you start at MACC?
A. I started on August 6, 2018
Q. What’s your favorite part of your job?
A. The designs (schema) of the database which we receive for conversion. At the end, everyone has a similar outcome, but it totally depends how refined your tables are in the database.
Q. Can you please tell us about your family?
A. I’m the only child to my parents. They live in India. My father worked as bank employee for 36 years and recently retired. He was worried from day one, after retirement, about “what to do?” My mother is a housewife. Due to my father’s profession, we used to relocate to a new place every three years across the state. I had my schooling in six different schools. This helped me in acquiring lot of friends and accents.
Q. What do you do for fun in your free time?
A. Hang out with my friends, and watch movies/TV series which means basically a lot of TV. And if the weather cooperates, we play cricket, sometimes in the field and sometimes in our apartment’s backyard.
Q. If you could travel anywhere to spend a week on vacation, where would it be?
A. New York. I don’t think a week would be enough to explore everything in the city!
Q. What’s your favorite quote?
A. I don’t remember who said it – “Every person you’ve met in your life is greater than you in any one aspect.”
Q. The one person I’ve always wanted to meet?
A. They get changed for me every year. This year, I really want to meet Elon Musk.
Q. If you could add any food to the MACC vending machines, what would it be?
A. Definitely ice cream and I think we might require a whole new vending machine.
