Nancy StorkNancy Stork

This month’s featured MACC employee is CABS Quality Control Coordinator Nancy Stork. In her role she makes sure the data tables containing CICs and exchanges are current, plus she helps with a wide variety of other CABS related tasks. Nancy also works in our welcome center where she directs calls and visitors to the right department.

Q. When did you start at MACC?
A. June of 2001

Q. What’s your favorite part of your job?
A. Making money to pay for vacations! 🙂 Actually it’s the variety of work that I get to do as every day is different.

Q. Can you please tell us about your family?
A. My husband, Scott, and I have been married for 36 years. We have three grown sons: Derek, Jarett, and Justin. Two are married, so I finally got some girls in the family! We also have one grandson who is two years-old and has us wrapped around his little, tiny finger.

Q. What do you do for fun in your free time?
A. I love to be outside in the sun. My favorite summer things are boating and camping with family and friends. The latter part of the year is getting ready for Christmas! I love all things Christmas! In the winter we love going on vacation somewhere warm. We’ve been very lucky to have been all the places we have, but my bucket list is huge. Scott says it’s not a bucket list, more like a “barrel list!” There are just so many wonderful, tropical places, and I want to see them all!

Q. If you could travel anywhere to spend a week on vacation, where would it be?
A. Aruba, that’s been the most beautiful and relaxing place I’ve ever been to.

Q. What’s your favorite quote?
A. “You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you. True power is sitting back and observing things with logic. True power is restraint. If words control you that means everyone else can control you. Breathe and allow things to pass.” Warren Buffet

Q. If you could add any food to the MACC vending machines, what would it be?
A. Ice cream for sure.
