I am a software support representative (SSR) for Customer Master. The list of issues I might be involved in on an average day is a long one. However, at the end of that day, I’ve been able to help all kinds of people from all over and that’s pretty awesome. It’s what I really like about this job.

Q. When did you start at MACC?
A. I began on July 13th, 2020.

Q. What’s your favorite part of your job?
A. I would say problem solving is my favorite part of the job. Give me a problem to get to the bottom of and I am all in.

Q. Can you please tell us about your family
A. I have a very small family consisting of myself and my two children: Laurel and Peter. Laurel works full-time while completing her Master’s Degree and lives in Omaha. Peter lives at home with me, is a senior at Blair High School, and is getting ready to attend UNL’s College of Engineering. Apart from some distant family in Michigan, Indiana, and Florida, it’s just the three of us, two dogs, six cats, two goats, a turtle, and a hedgehog.

Q. What do you do for fun in your free time?
A. With a teenager still at home, free time is a fluid concept. In those rare moments I find time for myself, I like to sew, garden, and work on home renovation projects. I also volunteer with the animal shelter and foster dogs when needed.

Q. If you could travel anywhere to spend a week on vacation, where would it be?
A. Paris.

Q. What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
A. Eat the frog. Mark Twain once said if the first thing you do each morning is to eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing that it is probably the worst thing that is going to happen to you all day long. In other words, address the task you dislike most, first.

Q. What’s your favorite quote?

Q. The one person I’ve always wanted to meet?
A. My Paternal Grandmother

Q. If you could add any food to the MACC vending machines, what would it be?
A. Cotton Candy
